Place Value Worksheets by Grade, From Tens and Ones to 1,000,000

Open the grade you teach, pick a sheet type, and print a new place value sheet with its answer key.

Place value moves a step further every year, so a sheet that fits one grade is wrong for the next. First grade reads tens and ones to 99 and counts to 120.

11 pages

By grade 4

By skill 7

One skill to a page: expanded form, rounding, estimating sums, comparing two numbers with <, > or =, and putting numbers in order.

More about these tools

Second grade reads hundreds to 999, or 1,200 in Texas. Third grade works to 9,999, or 100,000 in Texas, and rounds to the nearest 10 and 100. Fourth grade goes on to 1,000,000. More pages follow one skill each: expanded form, rounding, estimating sums, comparing two numbers and putting numbers in order. Pick a sheet type, press Make a new sheet for new numbers, and print on Letter or A4 with the answer key on page 2. Print the grade below for a pupil who needs to go back a step. The number ranges were checked against the Common Core and the Texas standards as a checklist only.
