Questions and answers
What words are in the picnic word search?
The opening list mixes all five themes: Picnic, Basket, Blanket, Cooler, Napkins, Sandwich, Watermelon, Lemonade, Ants, Kite, Park, Meadow, Shade, Grill, Ladybug, Bumblebee and more. Each press of New puzzle draws 15 of them.
Which bugs are in the puzzle?
Bugs That Come Too holds Ants, Wasp, Hornet, Yellowjacket, Bumblebee, Housefly, Gnat, Ladybug, Beetle, Grasshopper, Caterpillar, Inchworm, Spider and Snail, plus Anthill, Swarm, Buzz and Crawl. A spider and a snail are not insects, and their clues do not call them that.
Is there a list of picnic food?
Yes, one short list: Sandwich, Potato salad, Coleslaw, Fried chicken, Pickles, Cheese, Crackers, Hummus, Baguette, Cookies and more. For fruits, vegetables and meals by name, print the food word search.
Where does the word picnic come from?
From the French pique-nique. English borrowed it, and it now names a meal eaten outdoors. Source: Wikipedia, Picnic, read 3 October 2026.
