How it works
This odd and even numbers chart lists 1 to 100 in columns headed Odd and Even, so each odd number sits beside the even number that follows it. The rule that tells them apart is printed under the chart.

Print the chart
The chart prints on one page, on Letter or A4. A second chart runs to 200, and a third stops at 20 in tall rows with larger numbers.
Only the last digit counts
However long a number is, its last digit decides: 4,317 is odd and 9,990 is even.
One ending to a column
The sheets of odd numbers alone and of even numbers alone give each last digit a column of its own, so every number under Ends in 3 ends in 3.
- Count by twos from 1 for the odd numbers and from 2 for the even ones.
- An odd and even number chart with the rule on it can stay on the desk during mental math.
Questions and answers
How do you tell if a number is odd or even?
An even number can be divided by 2 with nothing left over, and an odd number cannot. The quick check is the last digit: 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8 means even, and 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9 means odd.
Is 0 odd or even?
Even. Zero is a multiple of 2, because 0 times 2 is 0, and like every even number it has an odd number on each side of it.
What are the odd and even numbers from 1 to 100?
The 50 odd numbers start 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and stop at 99. The 50 even numbers start 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and stop at 100.
What grade learns odd and even numbers?
Second grade, in the Common Core math standards. Pupils decide whether a group of up to 20 objects has an odd or even number of members, by pairing the objects or counting them by 2s.
Is the sum of two odd numbers odd or even?
Even. Odd plus odd is even, even plus even is even, and odd plus even is odd. Multiplying is different: a product is odd only when both numbers are odd.
