How it works
This math bingo printable opens on 30 math bingo cards of 4 × 4, each holding 16 of the answers 1 to 20. You call a sum or a difference, never the answer itself.

Call a fact, cover the answer
Call the game draws one answer at a time and shows the facts that make it. Read one fact aloud, such as 20 − 8, and pupils cover 12. Every number in a call stays within 20, so math bingo 1 20 suits first and second grade.
Addition, subtraction or both
Most answers have two additions and two subtractions, in the list under the tool. Read only the plus facts, only the minus facts for subtraction bingo, or mix them for addition subtraction bingo.
- For the youngest, step Grid down to 3 × 3 under the card: each card then holds 9 of the 20.
- Keep a math bingo board of the called answers by ticking the call sheet as you go.
Questions and answers
How do I get a math bingo printable PDF?
Press Print 30 cards, or the count you set, and choose Save as PDF as the printer. Print the call sheet saves the 20 answers with a tick box each.
Why is there no free square on the printable math bingo cards?
A 4 × 4 grid has no center. With only 20 answers, a 5 × 5 card would need 24 and could not be filled without repeats.
Which answers are hardest to call?
19 and 20. Inside 20 there is only one subtraction for 19 (20 − 1) and none for 20, so both are called as additions, such as 17 + 3.
