Easy color by number helicopter sheets: 3 to 5 crayons

Every easy 12 by 12 grid takes 3 to 5 of the 8 basic crayons. The Twin-rotor helicopter, the front view and the top view fill all 144 squares.

One rotor, two rotors and a pad to land on

Six pictures show a helicopter with one main rotor, and four of those show the small tail rotor too. The Twin-rotor helicopter has two main rotors and the Helipad shows none. Open More options and choose Detailed 24 by 24: gray joins every key, for rotor hubs, rocks and the pad.

  • Black is in 7 of the 8 easy keys; only the Helipad has none.

Questions and answers

Which helicopter sheet is the easiest?

The Helipad takes the fewest crayons, 3, and the Firefighting helicopter the fewest squares, 67 of 144. Both counts are for the easy 12 by 12 grid, which every picture opens on.

Do the helicopter sheets print with an answer key?

Yes. Each sheet prints on one Letter or A4 page and the colored answer key follows on page 2. Uncheck Answer key on page 2 in More options and only the sheet prints.

What do the squares without a number mean?

They stay white. Windows, clouds, snowcaps and the H of the Helipad are paper, so those squares print empty. Check Put 0 in the white squares in More options to print a 0 in each.

How this list was compiled: Our own pixel pictures, drawn square by square for this site on 12 by 12 and 24 by 24 grids in October 2026. Nothing is traced, scanned or copied from clip art, and no picture shows a brand, a logo or a character from a film, show, book or game. No helicopter copies a real model or carries a maker's or a service's markings. The facts in the Rescue helicopter, Twin-rotor helicopter and Helipad descriptions were checked against Wikipedia in October 2026. The color and square counts were counted from the finished grids.
