Three airplanes and a glider

Around the airfield
A Blimp, a Paper airplane, a Control tower and a Windsock fill out the set. Open More options, choose Detailed 24 by 24 and the Seaplane is the longest sheet at 317 squares in 6 colors. The easy Glider is the shortest, 46 squares.
- The Windsock's white stripes print empty: color only the orange bands, the pole and the grass.
- A windsock points the way the wind is going, so ours shows wind blowing from left to right.
- The easy Control tower is the longest easy sheet, 88 squares in 4 colors.
Questions and answers
Is there an easy color by number airplane?
Yes. The Jet airliner at Easy 12 by 12 has 59 squares in 3 colors: red, blue and yellow. The easy Glider is shorter still, 46 squares, also in 3 colors.
What is a biplane?
An airplane whose two main wings sit one over the other. Ours is red with yellow wings joined by struts, a propeller at the nose and two wheels.
Is a blimp an airplane?
No. A blimp is an airship: it has no wings and keeps its shape from the pressure of the lifting gas inside it. It flies here beside three airplanes, a glider and a paper airplane.
Do the planes show an airline or an air force?
No. The colors are made up, and no airline name, tail logo, flag or military marking is drawn on any aircraft. The Blimp has a plain yellow stripe and nothing written on it.
