Match the list to the lesson
Parts of the Bike, with Sprocket and Derailleur among its 29 words, suits the day bikes come to school. Rules of the Road carries Yield, Single file and Right of way. Being Seen has Reflective, Fluorescent and Dusk. Ready to Ride and Hazards on the Way fit a rodeo station, and Safety Gear starts with Helmet.
Checked facts in the clues
Some clues carry a fact. Most wheels have between 24 and 36 spokes. A new bicycle sold in the United States carries reflectors on the front, the rear, both wheels and the pedals. A headlight is white and a rear light is red.
Questions and answers
What words are in the bike safety word search?
137 in six themed lists: Parts of the Bike, Safety Gear, Rules of the Road, Being Seen, Ready to Ride and Hazards on the Way. Each meaning says what a word is and stops there. Fitting a helmet is taught in person.
Which list suits a bike rodeo?
Ready to Ride. It holds Rodeo, Course, Weave and Obstacle, the words of a skills event, usually for children of 4 to 13, with weaving, stopping quickly and riding slowly. Kiwanis clubs ran the first such classes in the United States.
Does the puzzle cover the ABC quick check?
Yes. The clue for Check, in Ready to Ride, says the ABC one covers air, brakes and chain, and Pump, Valve, Lever and Chain are all in the lists. To put that line on paper, tick Show clues, not words before you print.
