Six lists, by continent and by age
Start from a list splits the 128 names: Currencies of the Americas (16), of Europe (16), of Asia and the Pacific (26) and of Africa and the Middle East (23), then Cents and Small Change (25) and Money of the Past (22), which runs from the Roman Denarius to the Bulgarian Lev, withdrawn in January 2026.
Each meaning names the country
"Money of Thailand. Its code is THB." is Baht. "One hundredth of a Polish zloty." is Grosz. Countries and codes were matched against the ISO 4217 list of September 17, 2026. With Show clues, not words ticked under More options, the sheet is a geography review: pupils name the money before they hunt for it.
- Easy World Currencies keeps to 22 names of 3 to 5 letters, such as Yen, Won, Baht, Peso and Zloty.
- The grid drops spaces and apostrophes, so look for CFAFRANC, DEUTSCHEMARK and PAANGA.
