Places and things, not portraits
The sheets show what the presidents are remembered by: two buildings in Washington, D.C., a monument, a cabin, two hats, a pen and a tree. Each description in the picture list below carries one checked fact to read aloud while the class colors.
Color by number presidents sheets, 3 to 5 crayons
Four easy sheets need 3 crayons, three need 4 and the Frontier log cabin needs 5. The two hats, Quill and ink and the Cherry tree color all 144 squares; the Capitol dome is the quickest at 85.
- Three sheets are white stone on a blue sky: check Put 0 in the white squares in More options to number the stone.
Questions and answers
When is Presidents Day?
The third Monday of February. At the federal level the holiday is officially Washington's Birthday; most states keep it under their own names, some for George Washington and Abraham Lincoln together.
Are these Presidents Day color by number free printables?
Yes. Every sheet is free and prints on one Letter or A4 page with its crayon key above the grid. The colored answer follows on page 2 unless you uncheck Answer key on page 2 in More options.
Is there a color by number of a president's face?
No. The Stovepipe hat stands for Abraham Lincoln, and the Tricorn hat and the Cherry tree for George Washington's time and legend. A grid of 144 squares is too coarse for a fair portrait.
