How it works
Skip counting by 10 moves one digit: the tens go up by 1 and the ones stay 0. This chart lights 12 stops from 10 to 120, all in the last column, and gives each jump a note.

One stop at the end of every row
A chart 10 squares wide ends every row on a stop, so the count runs straight down column 10. The same move works from any square: one step down is 10 more, which puts 47 under 37. The words are harder than the digits. Twenty, thirty and fifty hide their two, three and five, and after ninety comes one hundred, then one hundred ten.
Notes, strip and Check
Each of the 12 jumps has a note in the list All 12 jumps, further down: 90 + 10 = 100 is the one that adds a digit. The strip hides 3 or 4 of its 7 numbers. Type them, press Check, and New counting strip brings another.
- Flash both hands open once for each stop. Every flash shows 10 fingers, so 4 flashes make 40.
- Count a pile of dimes by 10 to get the cents. Every tenth dime completes a dollar.
