How this list was compiled: Own work. The deck undoes the 1 to 12 times tables: every divisor from 1 to 12 with every quotient from 1 to 12, 12 x 12 = 144 cards with dividends from 1 to 144. No card divides by zero and no card has a remainder. One more set, × and ÷ 2 to 9, puts the 64 multiplication facts with both factors from 2 to 9 beside the 64 core division facts, 128 cards; those products were computed and checked by integer arithmetic on 2026-09-20, which brings the deck to 208 cards. Every quotient, every line of working, the multiplication partner printed on every back and the size of every set was checked by integer arithmetic on 2026-09-19: 12 cards in each ÷ set, 64 core facts with divisor and answer from 2 to 9, 16 tricky facts with both from 6 to 9, 12 squares undone and 134 facts with a dividend of 100 or less. Thinking of a division as a missing factor follows Common Core standard 3.OA.6 (32 divided by 8 found as the number that makes 32 when multiplied by 8); 3.OA.7, a Grade 3 standard, asks for fluent multiplication and division within 100 (knowing that 8 × 5 = 40, one knows 40 ÷ 5 = 8), and 3.OA.2 gives the two readings of 56 divided by 8, the size of each share or the number of shares. Read in the standards document hosted by CCSSO, https://learning.ccsso.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Math_Standards1.pdf, checked 2026-09-19. The words dividend, divisor and quotient, that division by zero is not defined, the sharing and grouping readings (partition and quotition), and that ISO 80000-2 says the ÷ sign should not be used were checked against Wikipedia, Division (mathematics), https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Division_%28mathematics%29, checked 2026-09-19. That the sign was first used for division by Johann Rahn in 1659 was checked against Wikipedia, Division sign, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Division_sign, checked 2026-09-19. The digit-sum test for 3, halving for 2, 4 and 8, and the final 0 for 10 were checked against Wikipedia, Divisibility rule, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divisibility_rule, checked 2026-09-19. The 7 cards use the 7 days in a week, a fixed quantity. Licence: own work
How it works
These division flash cards undo the times tables from 1 to 12: 144 exact facts. The page opens as a division math quiz: 72 ÷ 8 comes up, you type 9, and the back shows a shortcut (halve three times) beside 8 × 9 = 72.

Seventeen sets, most of them one sheet
÷ 1 to ÷ 12 hold 12 cards each: ÷ 7 goes from 7 ÷ 7 to 84 ÷ 7 and fills 1 sheet. 64 core facts keeps divisor and answer between 2 and 9, Tricky 6 to 9 narrows that to 16 cards, Squares undone asks 12 like 49 ÷ 7, and Within 100 drops 10 cards such as 132 ÷ 11.
Multiplication and division flash cards in one set
× and ÷ 2 to 9 shuffles the 64 core division facts with their 64 times facts: 128 cards on 11 sheets. The back of 7 × 8 names its partners, 56 ÷ 8 and 56 ÷ 7. For multiplication and division flashcards past 9, print a ÷ set here and the same table from the multiplication flash cards.
The ÷ 1 set and cards like 9 ÷ 9 teach two rules: dividing by 1 changes nothing, and a number divided by itself is 1.
A child stuck on 63 ÷ 7 can ask 7 times what makes 63. The missing factor worksheets practice that as 7 × ___ = 63.
Stuck on a fact? Leave the box empty and press Check until the answer shows. The card joins the Missed pile for later.
Questions and answers
Why does no card divide by zero?
Division by zero is not defined: 6 ÷ 0 would need a number that makes 6 when multiplied by 0, and every number times 0 is 0. A card like 0 ÷ 6 would be sound, but the deck mirrors the 1 to 12 tables.
Does 56 ÷ 8 mean sharing or grouping?
Both. Shared among 8 children, 56 stickers give each child 7. Packed into bags of 8, the same 56 stickers fill 7 bags. The answer is 7 either way because 8 × 7 = 56, so one card serves both stories.
What grade are division facts for?
Grade 3 in the Common Core, by our reading and not as an official alignment. Pupils there divide fluently within 100 by leaning on multiplication. The Within 100 set covers that range; ÷ 11 and ÷ 12 go further, for schools that teach tables to 12.
Is there a division flash cards printable PDF?
There is no file to download. Turn a card, press Print cards, then Save as PDF in the print dialog, and any set becomes a PDF to send home. A ÷ set is 1 sheet printed on both sides; All, the 144 division facts, takes 12.
