These dinosaur word puzzles are word scrambles of 30 dinosaur words: body parts, the three periods of the age of dinosaurs and seven dinosaur names. A hint sits under each jumble, and the answer key prints on its own page.

Read the full guide

From Roar to Tyrannosaurus

The easy list is body parts and sounds: Claw, Horn, Spike, Roar. Medium, the opening sheet, names the Triassic and Jurassic and holds Sauropod and Iguanodon. The hard list is the long names, with Paleontologist at 14 letters.

Hints that teach

Many hints teach a fact: the Iguanodon had a spike on each thumb, and Triceratops means three-horned face. Leave Hints on for a lesson, or turn them off to test spelling.

  • Put the three period names in order after the sheet: Triassic, then Jurassic, then Cretaceous.
