How it works
This name puzzle printable turns each name you type into two strips: the name in a row of boxes, and under it the same letters as tiles with dashed cut lines. The child cuts the tiles apart and builds the name on the strip above.

Your own names
Type one name per line in the box, up to 12 names. The sample names on the sheet, Emma and Noah, are replaced by your first line. A long name runs over two rows so that no letter tile gets too small to cut.

Questions and answers
How do I use a name puzzle template?
Print it, cut the lower strip into letter tiles, and mix them up. The child puts the tiles in order on the uncut strip above, matching letter to letter, until the name is built.
Can a long name be a puzzle?
Yes, up to 30 letters. A long name is set over two or more rows of tiles, so that each tile stays big enough to cut out.
Are the names I type sent anywhere?
No. What you type stays in your own browser, and nothing is sent to us. The Share link button makes a link that holds the typed names, so keep student names out of links.
