Volume Worksheets, From Counting Unit Cubes to Cylinders
Volume worksheets with every solid drawn, its edges labeled, and a key that writes out the multiplication behind each answer.
These volume worksheets split where the math splits. The rectangular prisms page is for grades 5 and 6: it counts unit cubes, multiplies l × w × h, works back to a missing edge, asks for volume only and never prints π.

- Volume of Rectangular Prism WorksheetCount unit cubes, use length × width × height on rectangular prisms and cubes, then work back to a missing edge. Whole numbers or one decimal.
- Surface Area and Volume Worksheet for Prisms and CylindersFind volume, surface area or both for prisms, cylinders, pyramids, cones and spheres. Use 3.14 or leave π in, with a formula box and a worked key.
More about these tools
The surface area and volume page is for grades 6 to 8: it adds triangular prisms, cylinders, pyramids, cones and spheres, asks for V, SA or both, and answers with 3.14 or with π left in. For a volume-only sheet of prisms and cylinders, open the surface area page and set Find to Volume. On every page each solid is drawn with its edges labeled, and the key writes out the working, such as V = 180 cm³ (3 × 6 × 10).
